It is imperative that you do not use a Foreign Exchange company to transfer your total blocked amount. The reason for this is, should your plans change, or your visa application is rejected, we are legally obliged to send the funds back to a bank account that is held in the name of the person who made the initial transfer.In most cases Money Exchange companies do not allow funds returned to them as the is no way to identify who the returned funds belong to.
An exemption to this is TransferWise. If TransferWise is available in your country, we recommend using their money exchange solution to transfer your Total Blocked Amount as they are an online account that lets you send money internationally.
If you are unable to use your own personal bank to transfer the funds, you can use a third party. This process requires additional documentation.
