If you’re interested in moving to Germany and are from a non-European country, your visa application will most likely require you to have a Blocked Account (Sperrkonto).
A blocked account is basically a proof of payment that shows you will be able to support your own living expenses while in Germany. The money is ‘blocked’ until you have arrived in Germany. To release the funds, all you have to do is show a proof of address and or enrolment. They will then be deposited monthly into your own German bank account that is accessible for your living expenses.
The German Federal Foreign Office has decided that applicants must deposit [720EUR *your intended month of stay]. Therefore, if you are intending to stay in Germany for 12 months, you will have to ‘block’ 8,640EUR with X-patrio in your Blocked Account before you apply for your visa. After you have successfully received your visa and arrived in Germany, you can send us the activation order and start receiving 720EUR per month to your German current account.
The blocked account services we provide are approved by the German Federal Offices.
Our partner ECO-Escrow Law office offers the fast, cheap, secure and paperless sign-up process to apply for and run a Blocked Account.
